In both industrial and environmental microbiology, basic Membrane Filter (MF) Technique principles are used. The Membrane Filter (MF) Technique is accepted worldwide as an effective technique for analyzing aqueous solutions for microbial or particulate contamination. It has the distinct advantage of being able to concentrate larger sample volumes onto a membrane filter for analysis. Pall has been supplying MF Technique-certified products to laboratories worldwide for over 35 years.
Pall offers certified, sterile membranes key for use in the MF Technique. To improve efficiencies and eliminate the risks of cross contamination, we offer compact and efficient MicroFunnel™ filters with integral membrane for a preassembled and sterilized filter funnel that is ready to use. Pall's Ampoule media is premixed, premeasured, presterilized, and certified for use in the MF Technique. Our line of reusable hardware includes the 47 mm Magnetic Filter Funnel, allowing simple one-hand operation for vacuum manifolds.
