Ammonia Filtration - Liquid Separation & Removal

A variety of complications can arise from oil contamination – off-specification product, catalyst bed poisoning, heat exchanger fouling, and storage vessel cleanup projects. To protect against these possibilities, our high-efficiency liquid coalescers, Pall Ultipleat® High Flow filters pre-filter and PhaseSep® Y liquid/liquid are installed in a vertical or horizontal orientation, depending on the criteria of the liquids involved.

The initial stage consists of a pre-filter housing, which is used to remove solids from the inlet emulsion stream to protect the coalescer and ensure long service life. The pre-filter also functions as a pre-coalescer and starts the fine droplets in the emulsion on their route to forming larger intermediate drops that continue to enlarge in the coalescer medium.
